Had the pleasure of Josh coming out this morning to look at my ancient AC unit. I was concerned about having to have it replaced. Josh was friendly, conversational, and more than willing to find a fix before having to replace. He corrected a few issues and got that old war horse up and running again. He told me it'll have to be replaced in the near future but it was good for now. I know for a fact that I'll be calling Josh back when the time comes. A+ work at a great price!
Josh was super helpful. He came out on short notice to get our AC working again on a hot day.
Our AC went out on a 95 degree day and Josh came over and within a couple hours our AC was cooling again. Simply the best.

Chris and Josh were amazing at assisting me with my furnace troubles. Josh always answered his phone 24/7 and made accommodations to help me on this cold January day. Called to schedule and got the owner. We scheduled quickly. Tech arrived on time and started the work immediately. Work was completed quickly and the issue was resolved effectively and for a good price. The tech showed me the invoice and it all made good sense to me. I am grateful that he didn't push a new hvac system or furnace on me. I will definitely use them again for any future needs!
Called in this deep freeze tonight. They had a person over AFTER hours in 40 minutes. They got my furnace that wouldn't work (32 degrees in house) up and running for a fair price. Highly recommend and will use again!
I’ve been without heat for about 5 days now, and have had multiple companies come through to provide quotes on repair and/or a new furnace. After being told by these other companies that I needed a brand new furnace and upselling me by thousands of dollars, I called Josh at Charest for one more quote. Josh answered my call late on a Thursday and came out first thing the next morning. He diagnosed the issue almost immediately and assured me I didn’t need a brand new furnace. He stayed at my home to ensure my furnace was working, answered all my questions, and even explained the system so I could know what to look for moving forward. Josh was quick, efficient, and saved me thousands of dollars and a LOT of stress. He quoted me a new furnace (just in case), which was thousands less than the other companies quoted me. We relocated from Chicago to Plymouth and found that our furnace, air conditioner and water heater all needed to be replaced. As we did not know any businesses in the area, an acquaintance recommended Charest. They came to the house, gave us a quote and advised what units they felt would be best for our home. The work was done in a prompt, efficient manner. Mike and Josh were courteous and most importantly for me, they respected my home and were very tidy. We are extremely satisfied with the work that was done. We would highly recommend Charest Heating and Cooling!
Highly recommend. My heat went out on the coldest night of the year. A technician arrived less than a half hour from my call. My heat was restored within minutes. Friendly technician and couldn't believe how quickly the problem was fixed!

Our water heater began leaking. I was surprised at how quickly Josh from Charest was able to come and replace it. In no time at all, I was back up and running with a new water heater. Josh was knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. The installation is first rate. Couldn’t be happier with the work Charest did for me.
I called Charest Heating & Cooling 11-28-18 @ 9:30am after I had to come home from work because the furnace was not working and it was 59 degrees in the house. Mike, the owner said that Joey the tech. was just finishing up a job, and could be there in 45 minutes. he was right on time. He diagnosed the condition and had to leave to pick up the input motor. He returned 45 minutes later and finished the repair. This was my second time using Charest and both times I was extreme satisfied with the repairs and price. the first repair was for my A/C. We returned from a week long vacation out of state, and our first night back, the furnace broke around 3 am, during the coldest stretch of temps we have experienced ever since living in our house. They answered the call on their 24 hour line, without hesitation and assured me that their tech would be to our house no later than 8 am. He also informed me that the tech still was finishing a current job, and had one more still to go before he could be here. Mind you, this was at 3 am, and the tech was in Canton....we live in Chesterfield. Thinking this was too good to be true, I called 3 others just in case, and none of them even bothered to answer the call. Just as promised, they were here when they said they would be, and were immediately able to diagnose what our issue was. Later that day, the owner called my wife and assured her that they would be able to get us up and running within the next 24 hours, for an EXTREMELY reasonable and friendly price. Again, we called a couple other places to compare pricing and estimated time of install, and neither could even come close. They arrived the following day, as promised, and also got us up and running at the price they quoted. Even advised us against incurring an extra cost that we thought we wanted to include. Everyone at Charest was kind, professionable, knowledgeable, and all around a pleasure to work with. I work in a customer service industry, and I can only hope that my employees would be able to provide the level of service my family and I were provided over that span. I HIGHLY recommend Charest Heating & Cooling to everyone. No question about it!
The new owner, Josh, was very helpful and patient explaining everything we needed for a new AC and furnace. He was out for about 2 hours explaining how everything worked and answered all of our questions. The install went well, and again he took the time to make sure we understood everything. Great customer service and I would highly recommend him!

I called you guys about my furnace & Chris came out Monday morning to service it & it runs like when I purchased it in 2019. Great company that service, knowledgeable about their job.
I got 3 different quotes. One was actually a family friend. Charest was competitive, he actually talked me out of a 16 seer AC unit because our summers are short, and I wouldn’t see the ROI. In the end I went with Charest. It was the best decision. They were extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Mike answered all of my calls, even on Sunday. From the time I placed the order until install was less than a week. The final product was amazing. The install, finishing, and cleanup was fantastic. The feeling I have knowing the job was done right is priceless. His guys are extremely knowledgeable. I have a lot of family and friends with HVAC knowledge and believe me, they were impressed. Also, if you ever need service/warranty work he only charges 74$ and is there immediately (my father had issues with another company's Install and mike took great care of him) which is also priceless. Go with Charest.
Charest Heating & Cooling put in my new furnace in my very old house and were just fantastic to work with. They were flexible with the appointment and got the work done very quickly and cleanly. I recommend them to anyone who needs heating and cooling work done.
Last year I used Mike and his guys to replace the furnace in my home out in Chesterfield, since my separation I have come down to Royal Oak to take care of my aging mother and help her out with her needs as well as my own. Last night the furnace went out and no heat during the evening I called Mike at 7 a.m. this morning and he told me he will have someone here by 2 p.m. These guys did such an awesome job for me and Chesterfield waiting till 2 should not be a problem, I will however update this and let you know if there is any change in the quality of service. I don't like having furnace problems but I like knowing Mike and his guys are able to take care of the problem. We'll update this post this afternoon Happy St.Patricks Day

Very impressed with my service call today from Charest Heating and Cooling. My A/C went out yesterday and my "go to" heating and cooling company couldn't come out until Tuesday of next week. My dogs can't wait that long (nor can I) for A/C, so I went looking for another service company. Charest was the only one I called that could make it out for service today! Their tech Joey showed up at the exact hour of the service appointment and had cool air flowing again in about 15 minutes. They didn't charge me a fortune either. I'll be calling again in the fall when the furnace needs a tune-up for sure!

Josh is remarkably responsive to communication whether by phone, text or email. He is remarkably intelligent in his field and also in interpersonal communication skills. He sold me a furnace and installed it years ago. He is helping me with another project currently; I am truly grateful for his service. I sometimes wonder about 5 star reviews. I wonder is this reviewer person family or a friend? In case you sometimes think the same thing, I will clarify...I only know Josh through his work in heating and cooling. He's a great professional; our community is lucky to have him! I highly recommend him.
Came home and the igniter kept trying to start the furnace (2 days before Thanksgiving), I called a couple other companies, could not inspect until the day after Thanksgiving. I called Charest and Mike (Owner) answered and said he could send someone out in a couple hours. Joey showed up, told us the part needed and the cost and could have the next day. My wife and I were going to order the part, costly, then inquired on a new system because our was 30 years old. The price was reasonable so we ordered. the next day Joey and Josh came to install. It appears they did a great job. Joey did all the prior measuring and did it well. I wasn't here, came home then had a question, called Mike and left a message. Within 5 minutes I received a call back. Remember, this is Wednesday Evening before a Holiday. He then had Josh call me. Josh was helpful. All is well. How often do people write reviews? Usually when things go wrong. Plus to shop locally was a bonus. With all the companies flooding the airwaves, Charest is getting the Job done. Five Stars. Dave and Patty

Our AC system froze up for the first time ever. Called the number on Friday night (9pm) to see if I could leave a message. Phone was answered live (what?) by Josh and booked an appointment for the next morning. Our Freon was low, Trevor came out and charged it. It's 90° today and we're good. Thanks Charest!

I have talked to and tried dozens of HVAC companies over the years - the big brands and the small shops - and, without a doubt, Charest is the best HVAC company I've ever worked with. They are incredibly knowledgeable, they're very competitively priced, their service is prompt, professional, and extremely personal. They get to know their customers and they make sure their customers are taken care of. I will never use another HVAC company!!

Our furnace/A/C unit is pushing 30 years old. Josh at Charest has helped us sneak by month after month with either some helpful advice or a quick service call - either way, we're up in running in no time! When we do decide to replace our dinosaur, it will be Charest for certain!
I gave this place a call the day after Christmas, on a Saturday, hoping to get my heating issue resolved. My house wasn't staying up the temperature, but the heat was still occasionally going on. Josh picked up the call and was very friendly. I explained my issue, and he said he'd be able to squeeze me in and gave me the prices up front. He showed up exactly when he said he would and went straight to work. He diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and thoroughly walked me through exactly what was wrong. It was super helpful for a new homeowner such as myself. Josh was very friendly and very informative. I appreciate how quickly he was able to resolve the issue.

Mike is a hands on owner that cares about his customers and the service that bares his name. I had a furnace issue and it didn't look good. Thanks to Charest and company I had a brand new furnace installed the very next day and at hundreds less than another company had quoted me, we're talking$800.00 LESS! The install was quick and easy, the work site was spotless and it took almost an hour less than he had thought. Came home from work after 5PM the night before fourth of July. Scorcher weather expected for next several days when most businesses would be off. Charest H&C had a guy at my house within 10 minutes. Saved my holiday. Josh is awesome!
Josh and his team were fantastic. We had a situation in very undesirable conditions under a home we were working on. Literally a 3 feet crawl space in which the original duct system was completely disconnected. Josh and his team connected everything and updated/replaced where needed. Everything now works great. We added a large family room and master bathroom on our house. We needed a new HE furnace, AC, power vent water heater, new ductwork for the addition, a bathroom vent, and our gas dryer, supply line and vent moved. Charest H&C was recommended to us from a very good friend who had used them in the past. Josh and his crew always arrived when they said they would and they did impeccable work. They were very clever in how they altered our existing ductwork to accommodate the needs of the addition. During the continued construction, I had an issue where I needed to completely stop the flow of air to the addition and Josh responded immediately to offer a solution. We highly recommend Josh and his crew to anyone requiring any HVAC work, from the simplest need to extensive projects like ours.
5 stars is not enough for Josh and the team at Charest Heating and Cooling. Our furnace stopped working unexpectedly on the same night our new tenants moved in. We called Charest afterhours and Josh (the owner) was over and fixing it in under half an hour. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and he had the problem fixed in less than 30 minutes. Thanks to him, our tenants had heat on their first night, and had no other issues! Josh and his team are amazing, I can not recommend them enough. They have earned my repeat business, personally and professionally, and my referrals to everyone!

Charest recently added a cold air return and a new vent in my basement, they also rerouted some pipes and ducts for increased head room. The owner, Josh, is great to deal with and is very knowledgeable. His crew is extremely professional and the quality of work is excellent. I couldn't be happier, highly recommended!
We had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. We have only been in the house for a few years, but both were original to the house (1970's). We were not really sure what was the best route to go in terms of brands, power, ductwork, etc. We hosted a miniature bid and had 4 different companies propose their recommendations and talk through the different options. We found Charest to not only be competitively priced, but they were also able to exceed all of our expectations. We had one quote try to sell an option at double the price. It also goes a long way when the people you are dealing with are personable and friendly. Would recommend.

I had to call a company that serviced my furnace according to their website and this Charest company came up in the local listings. I had never dealt with them before but I had to trust the manufacturer. I scheduled the appointment which was quite quick I might add, and I'm so glad I did. Jordan was so polite and professional and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving him alone in the basement to do his job. He was 100% topnotch! As I understand it there are a few others like him at the company, Nick and Josh if I'm not mistaken that are just the same! I will definitely be calling them yearly for maintenance. And should I ever need a service call again now I know who I can depend on! Thank you to Charest for making this a great experience! I definitely recommend this company! 5 stars!

I feel five stars is not high enough of a rating for this company. I have used them multiple times on my rental homes. When you call the emergency number at 1:30AM because of a heating/AC problem, the owner answers! Nice, very nice. And he is responsive. On time every time. Leaves the workspace as clean as he found it. very price competitive. His team focuses on me, the client, and not themselves. Very refreshing. Makes heating and cooling challenges very non stressful. They did ductwork, moved my furnace and water heater to create a more open living space in the basement. They did such a great job. The heat and air is consistent though out the whole house. This was not the case before the work was done. They were professional, Courteous and clean. I recommend them all the time.
